Sushi-Norimaki-Mania

Itadakimasu!!! Sushi-lovers often think making sushi is complicated and a pain. Wrong dear friends! Quite the contrary! It's fun & pretty straightforward. All you need is:

For the rice:
Sushi rice
Rice vinegar
Sugar

For the filling:
Fresh tuna and/or
Canned tuna
Mayonnaise
Avocado
Cucumber
Crabsticks
..... Your favorite maki-filling (Fresh salmon, smoked salmon, prawns, mozzarella/tomatoes/basil....)

Nori
Sushi-roller
Wasabi
Soy sauce (Kikoman)

Prepare the sushi rice as indicated on the pack. Once done, set aside to cool. Heat up a few tablespoons of rice vinegar, adding a teaspoon of sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add to the sushi-rice and allow to cool. Once the rice cools down, the fun begins! Place the Nori on the sushi mat. Spread the rice on the Nori, making sure to cover one third of the Nori fully in a thin layer of rice (otherwise the rolls will be massive). Spread a line of wasabi on the rice before placing the filling; may it be a classic Kappa Maki (cucumbers) or European combinations with tomatoes, mozzarella & basil. For the California roll use some Avocado, crabsicks, cucumbers and a bit of mayonnaise. Finally roll & press until firm, cut & enjoy!

And now for some boogie!
